way back in the mid 1950's mum took my older sisters and I on holidays to Bethesda,we stayed with Mrs & Mrs Parry, awhite farmhouse,the last house up Moel Faban ! Mr Parry was a member of the Penrhyn Male voice choir and when we were leaving by coach, the Choir lined the hillside singing We'll Keep a Welcome, I have never forgotten it, and I was only 9 or 10 at the time.

This took me back to school assembly, love hearing the Welsh language again.

Wonderful - though I'm not sure where you can go from this one in the medley - reminds me when I prepared the leaflet for my dad's funeral service, I was determined that we were going to have this one "properly" - I put the repeats in brackets and let those in congregation who knew what it meant do their thing.......that was the first time I cried that day - I'm still glad that we kept this one to the end....the priest simply said....."What else could we finish this guy's sendoff with?".

do not like it in comparison to other recordings and overall...Sung very very fast so no chance to sing any embellishements. Strict forward, brutal, loud (does not seem to be a large cathedral) and fast. For me this is not the goal of singing such piece....

I saw Treorchy male voice choir a good few yrs ago and have never heard anything like it..the absolute sound of their voices shook the building.. if you've never heard one i sincerely reccomend it..you'll literally be blown away..they can sing so quietly then let rip..amazing
